Vortec 350 with gm hot cam3/9/2024 ![]() ![]() not tryin to break the bank with an LT4 hotcam for $250+, but will do that if swayed that way by anyone's experiences with either cam. The thing i like the most though is that they are all about $80 on ebay new, even $140 with a set of delphi OEM roller lifters. 050 duration figures, are there any other cams out there like this that im not seeing? The thing i like about this cam is the high adv duration/ low. Is there a better (im sure there is) cam out there for truck DD performance? ![]() I like this cam because it works with stock vortecs well (it comes in the HT383 and ramjet 350). In the future i will get a 700R4 and have to change the converter anyway, ill probably get a 2000-2200 stall for better performance, since i can be locked up in 4th going to school and work. I have an 1800 stall, or whatever is just a "bump" up from stock.so i want to keep that for obvious reasons with it being a DD. function as just that, a cap and rotor to fire the plugs. Hello everyone here by everyone I have read posts from electronics of the LT1 Optispark distributor by wiring the engine as a 元1 Vortec 350. This gets my DCR down to a premium pump gas (or less) level, at 7.95:1 but keeps my static high for efficiency. Looking for a tune file for a 元1 Vortec 350 with an LT4 Hot Cam ported heads. Solution: big cam.but its my DD.solution #2, GM's own 14097395 roller cam. I wanted flat tops because of the benefit of flame travel, but with vortecs that puts compression at 10.3:1 with. Picked up a set of vortecs and learn the guy has a '90 roller short block he will sell me cheap.Īlready have pistons and rods, got those from 76CamaroTypeLT. just a budget build.believe me a stock 350 will be better than my 305.
